Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth to souls of good will!... [Lk 2,14]
Jesus who made you so small? Love! [st. Bernard]

To

If anyone is small, let him come to me!... (Prov 9,4)
Whoever makes himself small like a child will be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.... (Mt 18,4)

The Lord will gather the little Lambs and take them into his bosom.
As a mother caresses her child, so I will comfort you, I will carry you on my breast and I will caress you on my knees.
(Isaiah 40,11 and 66,13.12)

As a father has tenderness for his children, so the Lord has compassion on us, as far as the sunrise is far from the sunset, so he removes from us the sins of which we are guilty. The Lord is compassionate and gentle: slow to punish and abundant in mercy.
(Ps. 102, 13.12.8)
He who does my Father's will is my sister, my brother and my Mother. (Mt 12,50)

O my Father! those you gave me, you loved them as you loved me.
(Jn 17:24.23)

Disorganized

There is a draft for the excerpts from Psalm 102 (103) which Thérèse reverses: verse 13, then 12, then 8.

As a father has tenderness for his children, so the Lord has compassion on us;
he is compassionate and full of gentleness, he is slow to punish and abundant in mercy.
As far as the rising is distant from the setting, so much it removes from us the sins of which we are equally guilty.
