My dear parents,
   I would like to see you, I am impatiently awaiting the first of the year and during this time I pray to God for you. I'm very happy to have seen My godmother (Mlle Pauline Rome) that consoled me a lot and I told her to kiss you for [lv°] me and I would always make you very happy my parents I will try to have the painting of honor this week, I am very happy to write you My first letter, I know it makes you very happy. I would always please my parents. I love you with all my heart that's why I make you so happy I got the rosette this week today I will make my parents happy all my life [2r°] goodbye my dear parents. Please embrace my whole family for me.
