Letter from Mrs. Martin to Mrs. Guérin CF 67
21 1871 June.
...I went to Le Mans on Monday; the little girls were very happy as you must think. We walked a lot of the time, despite the rain, well, we had a very good day, I didn't leave them until eight o'clock.
I told my sister the concern Léonie gives me for her studies. She thought about it and said, "I have to give it a try." She went to Mother Superior and asked her to take the child and take care of her until the holidays. Léonie has therefore been at the Visitation for several days with her sisters; she was delighted to leave. I hope they can keep it. Since I know she is in such good hands and I see myself, on my side, so calm, I seem to be in Paradise.
