Born in Lisieux to Pierre Fournet and Elisa Petit, Céline Fournet married Isidore Guérin on September 11, 1866. Mother of 3 children, 2 girls: Jeanne and Marie, and 1 boy who died at birth. After the Martin family came to Lisieux in 1877, she played a maternal role with her nieces who frequented her home, she was very close to Léonie and Céline during Mr Martin's illness, whom she surrounded very closely. After his death and Céline's entry into the Carmel, she welcomed Léonie into her home and supported her in her quest for a religious vocation. She died in Lisieux on February 13, 1900.
