My dear sister,
My little Marie-Mélanie-Thérèse was born, yesterday Tuesday, at eleven o'clock in the evening; she is very lively, very nice, but not fat, she weighs only four pounds two hundred. I hesitate to put her in foster care. I don't know yet exactly what I'm going to decide.
I was only sick for a good hour. I look forward to hearing from you. I wish that moment had passed for you.
Farewell, see you soon for a longer letter. I embrace you with all my heart, as well as my brother and little Jeanne.
