From M. Martin to Pauline – 22 (?) May 1873,

DE
MARTIN Louis
À
MARTIN Pauline, Mother Agnes of Jesus

22/05/1873

From Mr. Martin to Pauline. 22 (?) May 1873,

Mai 1873.
My dear Pauline,
Your mother tells me that you very much want a letter from me, if only a few lines and I want to satisfy you.
Pray well, my dear little one, for the success of the pilgrimage to Chartres which I am going to be part of (May 27 and 28, 1873. A dozen bishops and archbishops took part in this event, including Mgr Pie, Mgr Dupanloup, Mgr Guibert; more of one hundred and twenty deputies, fifty officers, etc.) and which will bring together many pilgrims from our beautiful France at the feet of the Most Blessed Virgin, in order to obtain from her the graces which our country needs so much to show itself worthy of his past.
I will think of you, my Pauline, and of your dear Visitation, in this privileged sanctuary of the Queen of Heaven.
I add this: it is agreed that we are all expecting our "little Paulin" for the end of the month without shortage.
Your father who loves you.
