Born November 13, 1844 in Sainte-Pazanne, died October 15, 1914 in Caen.

Guardian of the convent of Saint-Nazaire, he preached the retreat at the Carmel of Lisieux in October 1891. Thérèse received from him an appeasement and a determining impulse in her path of trust.
