Born November 1, 1841 in Vassy, died February 20, 1917 in La Délivrande.
He preached the community retreat at the Carmel of Lisieux in 1893, 1894 and 1895.
Mother Agnès will consult him about Thérèse's Act of Offering. Her opinion was favourable, while contesting the formulation “infinite desires” used by Thérèse, asking her to modify it into “tremendous desires”, which she did, not without sacrifice.
He will testify at the trial.
