ROULLAND Adolphe Father

Priest of the Foreign Missions of Paris

Born October 13, 1870 in Cahagnolles (Calvados), died June 12, 1934 in Dormans (Marne).

Still a seminarian, he asked the Carmel of Lisieux for a spiritual sister. Mother Marie de Gonzague chooses Thérèse. Ordained a priest on June 28, 1896, he went to Carmel on the following July 3 and spoke in the parlor with Thérèse. He leaves for China on August 2 from where he will correspond with Thérèse and the Prioress of Carmel. Called back to France in 1909, he was a witness at the two Trials of Thérèse.
