GUERIN Marie, Sister Marie of the Eucharist
Also known as: Sister Mary of the Eucharist
Marie-Louise-Hélène Guérin (22.08.1870-14.04.1905)
Born in Lisieux, second daughter of Isidore Guérin and Céline Guérin-Fournet, she studied with the Benedictines of Lisieux, very close to her Martin cousins. She entered the Carmel in August 1895 and would find Thérèse, as novice mistress, and Céline, a novice like her, in the novitiate. Her correspondence with her parents is a precious source for knowing Thérèse's last months. She also died of tuberculosis in 1905 despite the care of her brother-in-law and the trial of new treatments.
