Louis Désiré Le Juif was born on January 6, 1861 in Fumichon.
He married on June 28, 1883 in Moyaux with Marie Amélie Augustine Rigot, born on January 2, 1863 in Moyaux. They both died in Moyaux in 1916. They had 3 children: Joseph-Marie, Gabriel-René and Marie-Jeanne.
Désiré and his family entered the service of the Guérins in 1892, then of Céline after the return of Mr. Martin from Bon Sauveur. He converts in front of a Céline painting (the Virgin and Mary Magdalene), at the end of a novena to Saint Joseph in 1893.
