DUCELLIER Alcide Monsieur the Canon

Born November 14, 1849 in Chicheboville, died December 20, 1916 in Lisieux.

He was vicar at Saint Pierre de Lisieux from 1877 to 1884. He heard Thérèse's first confession around 1880 and remained her confessor until the schoolgirl entered the Benedictine Abbey in October 1881. He delivered the sermons of Pauline and Céline Martin's clothing, as well as the latter's veil-taking sermon. After having been parish priest in two parishes of the diocese, he returned to Lisieux in 1899 until his death. He testified at the two Trials of Thérèse.
