GERMAIN Abel-Anastase Monsignor
Born on the 1ther April 1833 in Saint Sylvain, died November 12, 1897 in Coutances.
Priest of Bayeux, he was appointed bishop of Coutances in 1876.
In 1887, he led a diocesan pilgrimage to Rome for the Jubilee of Leo XIII, which was joined by diocesans from Bayeux, including Louis, Céline and Thérèse Martin.
