DESLANDES Eucher-Guillaume Canon

Born February 13, 1849 in Saint-Contest, died November 13, 1922 in Bayeux.

He began by learning the trade of watchmaker in Caen before entering the Seminary and being ordained a priest on June 29, 1876. Canon of Bayeux Cathedral in 1896, he took a very important part, as a notary, in the preparation and drafting of the documents required for the various canonical processes required for the beatification of Thérèse. His passion was to know and make people love his diocesan church, its history and its saints, its tradition and its ceremonies.
