BOHARD Family

Sophie's great-grandfather (François Bohard, mayor of Athis in 1793) and Marie Martin's great-grandmother (Anne Marie Bohard, wife of Jean Martin) were brother and sister.

In 1842 1843, Louis Martin (father of Thérèse) had done an internship with Louis Bohard, watchmaker in Rennes, grandfather of Sophie Bohard. Around 1880 1881, she came to Lisieux to visit Mother Saint Arsène, Benedictine (+ 1882), herself the granddaughter of François Bohard (who had fourteen children); on this occasion, she met the Buissonnets and all the Martin sisters.
