Born June 10, 1874 in Caen, died July 14, 1907 in Caen.
While still a seminarian, he asked for a spiritual sister at the Carmel of Lisieux. Mother Agnès points to Thérèse. He maintained a regular correspondence with her, she exhausting her last strength to write to him, encourage him, share with him her “Little Way”. After a few years as a missionary in Nyassa, he returned to France in 1906, due to sleeping sickness. He died the following year, hospitalized at Bon Sauveur in Caen.
