Thérèse went several times to the small village of Saint-Ouen-le-Pin, located about ten kilometers from Lisieux. Madame Élisa Fournet, Madame Guérin's mother, owned a small farm there.
The Martin family spent a few vacation days there in August 1884 (on August 8, Thérèse drew the house in her sketchbook) and in July 1885.
