My beautiful Doll,

I cannot resist the urge to thank you for your letter, it gave me great pleasure. You can't imagine how much I think of you. My little Marie always comes to mind, moreover I would like to forget my darling little cousins, that I couldn't, my pretty little lamp lights me up so well!...
Another service that Thérèse comes to ask. Sr Agnes has just told me that I need a pair of lined shoes, like the ones I've seen you many times in winter, they're sort of little boots that are lined with astrakhan. If my aunt wanted to buy them for me, I would be very happy. Jeanne could try them on, she has exactly the same foot as me.
I have many things to say to my Doll but we are waiting for my note, I must leave you. Thursday I will have many things to say to my darling little sister, in the meantime I kiss very much my aunt CHERIE, my GOOD Uncle and my dear little Jeanne
For my Louploup I cannot tell him how much I love him, my heart is too full of affection for him.
If I could have the shoes this afternoon I would be very happy. You can't imagine how well cared for we are in Carmel, I always have to eat and warm my feet...
See you Thursday my little darling, my beautiful living doll. I am very happy, at the height of my desires

Therese of the Child Jesus

I often think of my dear Marcelline.
