My dear Aunt,

We learned last night of the death of this good Mr. David, although at every moment we expected to receive the sad news, when I learned the reality I was very moved, I pray that God takes this soul so holy to his Paradise , perhaps she is already there, because with such perfect arrangements one can go straight to Heaven.
I ask the good Lord to pour consolation into your soul, my dear Aunt, he has already been very good in granting all the prayers you have made to give him the soul of your dear relative, if from the depths of his solitude your little girl could hope to have had a small part in it, she would be very happy.
I find, my dear Aunt, that in these moments of great sadness, we need to look up to Heaven, instead of crying, everyone is happy because Our Lord has one more chosen one, a new sun lights up the angels of Heaven, all are in the rapture of divine ecstasy, they are surprised that we can call death the beginning of life. For them we are in a narrow tomb, and their soul can be transported, to the end of ethereal beaches, of infinite horizons... My dear Aunt, when we look at the death of the just, we cannot help envy his fate. For him the time of exile no longer exists, there is only God, nothing but God.
Oh ! my Aunt, how much your little girl would have to say to you, her heart thinks so much of it; this morning she is completely lost in the immense melancholy of the death of the saints, but I don't have time to finish my little draft, I have to stop because the bell has just told me that it is time that I finish. I offer this small sacrifice to Jesus so that with his sweet little hand he deigns to comfort you.
Your little girl who cares about you and her dear little sisters.
