Florence, Friday 25 November 87

            My dear little Mary,

Time goes very quickly, a few more days and we will be reunited, I hope that from today in eight we will be with you.
I promise you that I will be happy to leave all the marvels of Italy, all that is fine, but I cannot forget those I left in Lisieux, there is a magnet that attracts me there, so I Will come back with great pleasure.
You don't know the joy your kind letter caused me. I was very happy that you told me about my dear Aunt's birthday, I was with you in spirit, at that moment there was no longer any distance between Rome and Lisieux. You did well to tell me the present that my Aunt gave you, because I could never have guessed it, what a nice surprise!
I'm not talking to you about my visit to the Sovereign Pontiff, I think you heard about it from the Carmel. I had a lot of misery, but since it's God's will...
I hope, my darling little sister, that you will continue to pray for me, I have great confidence in your prayers, it seems to me that the Good Lord cannot refuse you anything.
You complained that your letter was badly written. Really, if you're so picky, I won't dare send you mine, which are real doodles. I very often think of you, of all of you, so often that I dream of it at night, I would like to be with you already.
It's been a long time since we've heard from Carmel, I'm afraid there are some lost.
Yesterday we were in Assisi. Coming back from a church I found myself all alone and without a car, there was only M. Révérony's. He took me up with him; he was very friendly, he didn't want me to pay for my ticket. He didn't talk to me at all about my business, I don't know what he thinks of the audience.
I see that I am putting on endlessly, my letter is oddly twisted.
Thank my aunt for her letter, she touched me so much that I couldn't say. Kiss for me all those I love.

Farewell darling little sister
see you soon Goodbye
Therese.
