Charming little verses... How naughty it is to go begging from other people's homes when your purse is full! But it's not bad to sleep, to be nice and cheerful, it's "the small business of the shop" and it never has to close, not even on Sundays and holidays. That is to say, the days that Jesus reserves for testing our souls... Sing like a lark your graceful refrains, I like a poor little sparrow I groan in my corner, singing like the wandering Jew: Death does not can't do anything, I can see that!...
