At Buissonnets Thursday, July 15, 1886

            My dear Mary,

You are very happy to have written to me, your letter gave me great pleasure, I am very happy that you take beautiful walks like the ones you told me about, it interested me a lot.
I just swayed; Marie is afraid that I will become hunchbacked and she has asked Papa to hang the rings and the swing; I like the rings less than the swing, my hands are all red from having been there.
Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Madame Maudelonde's and I had a lot of fun with Céline and Hélène. Madame Papinot gave me leave for tomorrow in honor of the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel so that I could attend the sermon.
You see my Marie that I don't have very interesting things to tell you, I didn't have a lovely walk like you that I can share with you, but I hope that despite that my poor little letter will make you a little bit of fun.
Goodbye my dear little Marie kiss very hard for me my aunt and Jeanne
Your little sister who loves you very much.

Therese.
