When the love we have for the creature is an affection that is entirely spiritual and founded on God alone, as it grows, the love of God also grows in our soul; the more then the heart remembers its neighbour, the more it also remembers God and desires him, these two loves growing at will.
He who truly loves God considers it a gain and a reward to lose everything and to lose himself again for God...
On the evening of this life, you will be examined on love. So learn to love God as he wants to be loved and let yourself be.
