Jesus

In Carmel on July 23, 91

                My dear Celine,

It is again I who am responsible for responding to you... Mother Geneviève was very touched by your letter and she prayed well for her little Céline; what a grace to have the prayers of such a saint and to be loved by her!... Yesterday's party was delightful, it was truly a foretaste of Heaven... All the gifts made us gives great pleasure, the fish, the cherries, the cakes, thank my aunt and tell her everything nice that you want...
Céline darling, your two letters spoke a lot to my soul, they made my tears flow...
The lawyer really made me laugh, you have to admit that he's not embarrassed to come and get the fiancée of the King of Heaven, but the poor man, he probably didn't see "The sign that the spouse has placed on your forehead”, a mysterious sign that Jesus alone contemplates, and also the angels who form his royal court... Celine, why this extraordinary privilege, why?... Ah! what a grace to be a virgin, to be the bride of Jesus, it must be very beautiful, very sublime, since the purest, the most intelligent of all creatures preferred to remain a virgin rather than become Mother of a God... And it is this grace that Jesus grants us. He wants us to be his wives and then he promises us to still be his Mother and his sisters, because He says it in his Gospel: "He who does the will of my Father, that one is my Mother, my brothers and my sisters." Yes, the one who loves Jesus is his whole family. He finds in this unique heart which has no equal, everything he desires. He finds his Heaven there!...
Céline darling, let us always remain the lilies of Jesus, the grace that I ask of him is that he withdraw them from this world before the pernicious wind of the earth has caused a single dust to detach from their stamens, dust which could slightly yellow the luster and whiteness of the lily. Jesus must be able to find in his lilies all that he wishes to find there, the purity which seeks only Him; only rest in Him...
Alas! there is nothing so easily tarnished as the lily... well! I say that if Jesus said of Madeleine that he loves more to whom more has been forgiven, we can say it with even more reason, when Jesus has forgiven sins in advance!... Céline, do you understand? you?... And then, when the tears of Jesus are the smile of a soul, what does it have to fear? I think that mysterious pearls have the power to whiten lilies, to preserve their radiance... Céline darling, the figure of this world passes, the shadows decline, soon we will be in our native land, soon the joys of our childhood , Sunday evenings, intimate talks... all this will be returned to us forever and with wear and tear, Jesus will return to us the joys of which he deprived us for a moment!... Then from the radiant head of our dear Father we will see come out of the floods of light and each of his white hairs will be like a sun that will fill us with joy and happiness!... So life is a dream?... and say that with this dream we can save souls! ... Oh! Céline, let's not forget souls but let's forget ourselves for them, and one day Jesus will say looking at us: "How beautiful is the chaste generation of virgin souls!"

I kiss very much my little Marie, Léonie and everyone, for you Céline, you know where your place is in my heart!...
