            My dear little Pauline,

I had thought of writing to you to thank you for your lovely little book, but I thought that was not permitted during Lent; but also now that I know it's allowed I thank you with all my heart.
You don't know how happy it made me when Marie showed me your pretty little book. I found him lovely. I had never seen anything so beautiful and I couldn't get tired of looking at it. What lovely prayers there were at the beginning! I said them with all my heart to little Jesus. Every day I try to do as many practices as I can, and I do my best not to miss any opportunity. I say from the bottom of my heart the little prayers that make the smell of roses, and as often as I can.
How beautiful there is in the beginning! It is a little dove giving her heart to baby Jesus. Well ! I too want to adorn it with all the beautiful flowers that I will come across, to offer it to baby Jesus on the day of my First Communion; and I want, in fact, as there is in the little prayer which is at the beginning of the book, that the little Jesus finds himself so well in my heart that he no longer thinks of going back to heaven...
Thank you very much for me to my Sr Thérèse of St Augustin for her pretty little practice rosary, and for having embroidered the beautiful cover of my book. Kiss my Mother Marie de Gonzague for me, and tell her that her little daughter loves her with all her heart.
Léonie and Céline kiss you well.
Goodbye, my dear little Pauline; I `m kissing you with all my heart.
Your little girl who loves you very much.
Theresita
