Dear sister,
I don't have time to write to you at length. First I am well, then I wish you the same for you and your family. I would very much like you to take care of your little Pauline, it seems to me that if you took care of her as I want she would soon be cured, poor little one. First cod liver oil, if you knew how good it is for children, we have poor little creatures who look like they have not had for two days of life, who are gaining strength and vigor after a few months of this remedy, which children take much more easily than adults; then you would have to put her in the country for a month or two with a few *[1v°] trustworthy people where your child's innocence would not be in danger and there feed her well; and I assure you that she would soon resume, although this angel would be much happier to go to heaven, but if the Lord wants to preserve her life, we will try with his grace to make her a saint.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn of the successes of your children (the children then attended the Providence d'Alençon. It was only at the start of the school year in October 1868 that they would become boarders at the Visitation in Le Mans), congratulations- them from me and tell them that their aunt will see them with great pleasure next year if they continue to be good. I think you did well to send Marie to boarding school to unburden yourself and at the same time, so that she would form her judgment, I greatly dislike that she has this tendency to scruples, does not talk to her so much about her soul and from the fear of defiling her, because in the end this excessive fear would harm her more than an overly broad conscience, finally I would very much like her to fall into [2r°] the hands of a skilful Mistress who would direct her in the dilation of trust in God.
Dear sister, I pray every day for you so that the Lord supports you in all your trials, but courage it will end and the reward will be endless bliss for temporary and temporary work.
I would have liked you to have given me some details about our future sister-in-law, finally I hope that the Blessed Virgin will put her hand in it so that our poor brother will find happiness in this world and in the next.
Dear little sister, what more can I tell you except that I love you tenderly, more than you think. Send me the size of the head of the Blessed Virgin (“the Virgin of the Smile”) and we will ask permission to make her a crown.
I kiss you dear sister.
Your loving sister

[2r° tv] If you wanted to be kind enough to see if you would find canvas similar to the model, as plain and clear as the model, finally we would like a 1/2 piece or a piece if we couldn't have less . I think it would be necessary before concluding to tell us the price.
