Sacristy

sacristy-tower

Place where the sacristan and her assistants prepared what was necessary for the celebration of the mass and other ceremonies of the Chapel. Sacred vessels, ornaments and other objects of worship (candlesticks, incense, etc.) were stored there. They had passed through the tower in the exterior sacristy, without anyone being able to see the people who might be there. We don't have an old photo of the part. Below is a photo of the sacristy tower, through which Thérèse passed the sacred vessels and other material in the exterior sacristy. We can spot the round structure of the tower.
